Frequently Asked Questions...
Can we stay overnight at Bridge Creek Homestead?
We are sorry, you can’t! But you can have the venue on the day of your event from 10am – 11.30pm. You and your guests must vacate the property by midnight.
There is plenty of great accommodation to suit all budgets in Mansfield (only 5 mins drive away) and surrounding areas – some of these are listed on our site.
When and how can we view the property?
Property viewings and a personalised tour must be booked through Joey by appointment only.
A personalised tour means you get all the info you need and we will take you on a guided walk of the property; showing you all the wonderful places you can get hitched, have your party and your photos!
What do we do about catering?
At BCH you need to use a licensed, registered caterer for your food and drinks. We have a list of local and Melbourne based caterers on our website – worth checking them out!
We don’t do BYO weddings.
Can we have children at our wedding at BCH?
Yes, you can. All children must have an accompanying adult and you must be aware there are stairs, a dam and a road nearby.
Can we have our dog at our wedding?
Yes, you can. The same as the above applies.
What if we want to get married on a long weekend, school holidays or public holiday?
This is fine. We do charge a small surcharge for these times of an extra $750 for your event.
Does someone from BCH help us on the day?
Yes. You will have a dedicated event manager who knows the property inside and out! They can assist you prior and throughout the event to ensure your big day runs as smoothly as possible.
How do we get our guests to and from the property?
Check on our website for bus services that run in the area all year round. Mansfield is so close, so this makes for the best way for your guests to arrive and leave with no fuss!
The venue – how is it styled, decorated etc.
BCH is a DIY venue. Basically, you can decorate and style the venue as you like – with very little limitations. Grab your friends and family or a professional event manager and make it your own!
